"The Daily Breath" annual video subscription includes:

  • Employee worksheet (PDF, to track progress, if desired)

  • 2 subscription options: Internal website ($1,000/yr) and external website ($2,500/yr for organizations with under 100,000 members/clients.)

 

"The Daily Breath" video 1 includes:

  • 23 minute run time, designed for daily/morning use (3-5 times a week for optimal benefit)

  • 4 guided therapeutic breathing exercises to optimize oxygenation at the cellular level

  • Guided visualization to develop better focus and concentration

  • Guided visualization to promote cellular healing and DNA repair

  • Tapping to stimulate the thymus gland to strengthen the immune system 

 

"The Daily Breath" video 2 includes:

  • 26 minute run time, designed for 'add on'/afternoon use (3-5 times a week for optimal benefit)

  • Guided instructions using the symbol for focused concentration, then just music and the sounds of ocean waves to prompt inhales and exhales (20 minutes) 

  • Refocusing prompts at the 15, 10 and 5-minute remainder marks.

My clients know me as a graphic designer, but many do not know of my work in the Mind-Body field. I received my certification in 2017 as a Meditation Teacher from The Mindfulness Center in Bethesda, Maryland (a medical evidence-based 2 year program). I am also a certified HeartMath® coach. I have taught classes and presented to thousands of people about the benefits of mind-body practices. I am particularly interested in the changes in the body's chemistry after therapeutic breathwork. Endorphins help with pain relief, serotonin is a mood regulator, oxytocin  ("the love hormone") can make you feel euphoric, melatonin helps with sleep, human growth hormone helps with healing, stress hormones like cortisol can decrease to help with adrenal fatigue, blood pressure can start to normalize, and the brain can make new pathways (neuroplasticity) to help with behavioral changes. You may not experience all of these changes in chemistry, but I think the body "goes where it needs to go".

 

With this in mind, I created two guided practices that are mainstream and focused on therapeutic breathing. The Daily Breath videos were designed to be practiced daily for those who want a daily routine...but if not practiced daily, then practicing 3-5 days a week is suggested for best results. Video 1 is relatively short at 23 minutes and provides the needed impact and is perfect for a morning routine to get the day started. Video 2 features 20 minutes of breathing in the therapeutic range with prompts and is perfect for an afternoon practice. If you have a Corporate Wellness Program consider subscribing. 

 

Mental health initiatives are important in today's stressful world because they involve society's ability to cope with stress. Mental health impacts overall well-being such as physical health, cognitive functioning, and it impacts relationships at work and at home. Simple daily practices like guided breathing and mindfulness exercises are important tools to offer employees to bring balance into their life. Both videos include guided breathing exercises that bring the user into a therapeutic breath rate of 6 bpm (breaths per minute) which creates beneficial chemistry in the body. The symbol helps to develop focused concentration (which benefits the workplace by improving productivity and creativity...a win-win for both employee and company). The guided visualization focuses on cellular healing and DNA repair which benefits both those who are healing as well as those who want to maintain their health.
